Commit f742d25 binds `dired-goto-file' to "J", which is unbound in standard Dired. Alternatively, you can add the following to .emacs after loading Evil: (require 'dired) (evil-define-key 'normal dired-mode-map "j" 'dired-goto-file) -- Vegard
