Monitored voluntary pledges around nature, including zero deforestation <https://opinion.inquirer.net/146091/saving-whatsleft-of-our-forests>, nature protection <https://www.reuters.com/business/cop/cop26-talks-45-nations-pledge-protect-nature-climate-change-fight-2021-11-06/>, and agriculture <https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1158989>, amount to around $27 billion. - These are a far cry from the original commitment to raise $100 billion/year, which is expected to rise to $300 billion/year by 2030. Only $80 billion in total was raised <https://www.unep.org/news-and-stories/story/what-does-cop26-mean-adaptation> since the Paris Agreement was promulgated in 2015. - Banks and international finance institutions pledge $130 trillion in climate finance <https://www.rappler.com/world/global-affairs/finance-day-pledges-cop26-november-3-2021>, but raise fears of conditionalities and resource traps. - The Glasgow Loss and Damage Facility was established but with no concrete commitments for funding <https://www.reuters.com/business/cop/climate-loss-damage-earns-recognition-little-action-cop26-deal-2021-11-13/> . - Human rights language, expected to strengthen hard accountability, was shot down in the final text of the Glasgow Climate Pact <https://www.reuters.com/business/cop/rights-groups-warn-paris-pact-rules-carbon-markets-leave-indigenous-people-2021-11-12/> .
