Yes, updated report to follow, Your post is notched to support a beam, not a joist. (semantics.) You are rightfully worried about the top of the posts, but what about the bottom of the "notch" It is the bearing surface for the beam, and it may be rotted worse than the top of the post, since moisture can get trapped there. You might want to stab the post with a pick there, to see if the bottom of the notch is still solid. AAA Journey Assistance Great News! Does anyone have any favorite styles or creative methods they'd like to discuss Excited to hear your art journeys! ************~***~***~***~***~***~****~**~***~***~***~***~***~***/ Best, Anthony From: Sarah Simmons Date: October 11, 2024, 08:35 AM Hi Anthony and everyone, That sounds inspiring, Anthony! One of my favorite styles is abstract expressionism. I use bold colors and dynamic strokes to convey emotion. It's liberating and always leaves an impact. A creative tip I can share: always experiment with texture. It adds depth and energy to a piece, especially in abstract work. Joyful painting! I love experimenting with patterns too. Recently, I completed a digital piece that uses geometric shapes. It's crisp and vibrant without being overwhelming. Sarah, incorporating texture is indeed a game-changer. I also like to use mixed media, blending different materials and techniques. It adds variety and keeps creativity fresh. Can't wait to hear more! I've been exploring sculpture lately. My latest piece is a clay figure that captures intricacies beautifully. It's perfect for expressing emotion in a tactile way. One tip for sculpture: always pay attention to the play of light on surfaces. It enhances the form and brings out subtle details. Looking forward to exchanging more ideas! Regards, Liam
