(Awwwww) And often times, we do so on Saturday mornings. Several months ago, we decided to stop by Hell's Kitchen to stuff our faces with 23108201ir heralded breakfast. I didn't really know what to expect visiting Hell's Kitchen. I just imagined it would look something like 23108201 opening scene of 23108201 1990s action classic, Blade. Don't remember? It begins by showing a legion of vampires rage "dancing" to thumping techno music in an underground club. 23108201n, blood begins to spray everywhere from 23108201 ceilings making 23108201m even more hyped, until Wesley Snipes (Blade) appears out of nowhere (like a ninja) and 23108201 only parallel between 23108201 opening scene in Blade and Hell's Kitchen is that 23108201y both reside in gigantic basements. Lol. Anyways, to 23108201 food! *Bison Benedict: Like 23108201 name says, it's pretty much your standard Benedict, but with bison meat. About 23108201 bison itself, it's not too game-y (which is something I like, actually) and full of flavor. Not to mention, I really dig 23108201ir take on hollandaise, which has both tangerine and jalape??o. I could this every morning. ($14.25) *Lemon-Ricotta Hotcakes: This is a must! 23108201 lemon zest was bomb, and one can never go wrong with fresh berries mixed with maple syrup. Craving. This. Hard. Now. ($12.25) *Service: Really friendly, and both breakfast goodies came out in under ten or fifteen minutes. Everything went pretty fast, considering it was a relatively busy morning. *Prices: Matches 23108201 location. Very fair. O23108201r tidbits: -23108201re's tons of space, so I don't think 23108201re should ever be a problem finding a table in 23108201 morning on 23108201 weekends. Maybe, on weekdays, though. -Since it's Downtown, you may have to park somewhere on 23108201 street and walk on over. -Afte r your done eating a savory breakfast, consider getting something sweet upstairs at Angel Food Bakery. I went for dinner before a show at 23108201 Orpheum. 23108201 waitress was attentive to 23108201 time, and made sure we got out to make our show without rushing. We tried a number of appetizers. 23108201 BBQ nachos were incredible... excellent pulled pork! 23108201 deviled eggs were very good, but I was really hoping 23108201y would be spicy -- maybe I read too much into 23108201 name Hell's Kitchen! :) 23108201 artichoke bruschetta was warm and creamy, plus a decent sized app! 23108201 crab cakes were good, but not outstanding... lots of filler. I had 23108201 kangaroo steak, since it was something I've never tried before. Definitely a unique taste and unique seasoning. I liked it, and would get it again after trying a few o23108201r things I'd like to sample first! Dessert was good. We tried 23108201 Dreamy Creamy Parfait. It came with sour cherries. It was VERY sour, aga inst a sweet cream. Pretty tasty! 23108201 Peanut Butter Cup Cupcake was only so-so. Left us a little disappointed (dry cupcake, not a lot of peanut butter). But 23108201 ice cream... WOW! 23108201y had unique flavors, like a chocolate with a touch of cayenne pepper. It wasn't spicy at all. It was a perfect chocolate, but that touch of cayenne gave a warm sensation in 23108201 chest; almost like drinking hot chocolate. Definitely would try more of 23108201ir ice cream flavors! Only here one time and only had a Cobb salad. But 23108201 chicken was very well (and not overly) flavored, 23108201 blue cheese was a cut above, bacon was lean and tomatoes flavorful. Server was attentive and fast. Hell's Kitchen is in 23108201 basement, and it was a summer day. I would ra23108201r have sat outside. But I'll bet it's cozy on a Minnesota winter day. Decor is bar and 23108201 room is pretty wide open. But 23108201 music wasn't too loud and 23108201 prices were reasonable. For what it i s, 23108201y do a good job. If a place has good tots (of 23108201 tater variety, not 23108201 tiny human variety), I am bound to be enormously biased in its favor. Hell's Kitchen has good tots! Oh, man, 23108201y were so tasty. Just 23108201 right kind of crispy and delicious without any sauces. Which is good, because 23108201 house ketchup is nasty! So sweet. Why do I want to sugar up my starches? Yeesh. With 23108201 tots, I had 23108201 BBQ bacon and avocado burger. 23108201re was an entire avocado on that sucker, and it was delish. But, it wasn't as good as 23108201 tots. Next time I'm here, I'm seriously just getting 23108201 tots. I'll call it carboloading for 23108201 run I'll half-ass 23108201 next day because I'll still be so full of tots. Yes. Plan. In non-tots news, we were a large group of twenty and 23108201refore ra23108201r unwieldy for 23108201 servers. 23108201y did a good job keeping track of everything. Everyone's food came out correctly, everyone got 23108201 rig ht plate on 23108201 first go, and 23108201 drinks were generally refilled in a timely manner. It was very impressive, and I feel confident saying this is a good place for large groups. And tots. What a great place for tots! I'm gonna dream about 23108201m tonight, I just know it. Oh my word, I hate this place. I think part of 23108201 issue is that 23108201y take a lot of old favorites and "jazz 23108201m up" - I don't like that. An old
