Hi Ezequiel, Thanks for the answers, i have two STB with the 7105 ST chip, i have entered in contact with ST, and they told me i dont need a development kit to start develop software to this plataform, once i had the STB with the chip. I am very interesting tough in buy this developer kit if i have the support, do u can pass me some contact or website i should go to proceed ?
From what i am reading, u have a host PC with STLinux cross-compile (with kernel image and boot loader) and u can mount the SoC filesystem via NFS, is that correct ? As we can see in the figure: http://stlinux.com/sites/default/files/linux_install.gif
And later in the same site: 1. Generate an exported network file system on the host PC. This file system will become the root file system of the SoC platform. 2. Start an NFS server on the host PC to give the SoC platform access to its root file system. 3. Load the SoC kernel image into the SoC platform RAM. Thanks again for your help, im finishing my masters and i wanna test the software in a real world environment. Bruno,
Do you have a ST 7105 platform ? You will need a development kit platform with 7105 chip, and access through serial port. Once you have that, you need the same as any PC based Linux OS needs:
1. Boot loader
2. Kernel
3. Minimum filesystem
4. Shell
If you have purchased a development kit, then you should be able to ask for support at STLinux: http://stlinux.com/.
Once you have all of this, you can cross-compile anything, from wget to Ginga.ar, and make it runnable on the 7105.
Hope it helps, keep in mind the embedded world it is not an easy one.
Greetings,
Ezequiel.

Well, As far as i know u need a host pc to cross-compile ginga, in this host u need to install the STLinux ( http://www.stlinux.com/install/distribution/introduction) I'm still reading the STlinux documentation .. Thanks and good luck for us :D

Saludos!

But this document doesn't have anything to do with embebed software. I am also trying to embebed the ginga in a ST7105 chip ... Does anyone has some guidelines ? I really appreciate ..
Thanks.

Saludos, FC
