From: Karen Morris Date: June 14, 2024, 07:12 AM Hi group, Hope you’re all well. Lately, I’ve been learning about interesting species of birds and wanted to hear if anyone has enjoyed any birdwatching lately. I just finished a beautiful sketch of a cardinal, and it turned out better than expected! Do you have any favorite local birds or birdwatching stories to share Looking forward to hearing from you all! Warm regards, Karen From: Brian Lee Date: June 14, 2024, 08:18 AM Hello Karen and everyone, That’s wonderful, Karen! A few weeks ago I tried to spot a woodpecker in my neighborhood. It’s a challenge but exciting when you finally see one. Tip: bringing along a pair of quality binoculars really changes the entire experience and allows for better detail. Happy spotting! Cheers, Brian From: Zoe Patel Date: June 14, 2024, 09:45 AM Good morning everyone, Karen, your drawing sounds fantastic! I love watching hummingbirds. They’re elegant and quick. I started keeping a small book to write little notes about what I see. Brian, quality binoculars are essential. Sometimes I use my phone’s camera to take notes for later. Each sighting feels unique! Excited to hear more tales! All the best, Zoe From: Ethan Brown Date: June 14, 2024, 11:03 AM Hi all, Love hearing about your birdwatching journeys! I went to a park last weekend and managed to see a blue jay. It was energetic and fun to observe. Tip for watching: patience helps. Waiting quietly leads to better chances for a close view. Looking forward to more stories from everyone! Kindly, Ethan
