Alright I just had to replace a leaking bolt, so just want to get some clarity on everything because by no means am I an expert... I believe the actual question in play here is... sometimes the new replacement bolt kit has 2 extra locking nuts and 2 extra metal washers then your existing nut and bolt system that your replacing...and the reason is because the new tank bolt system are going in this order: Bolt head- Rubber washer under - through the inside of the tank hole -[ extra metal washer - extra nut to lock to the underside of the top part of tank ( these are secured to the bottom of the top tank ONLY...which is where this system may differ from your last as the bolts just went all the way though to the bottom without needing the extra washer and nut under here) ] - then finish with rubber washer - then nut... so, if your kit comes this way... do you have to use this extra locking nut and metal washer to the underside of the top of the tank Or can you just replace them the way your toilet was initially which is like this: Bolt head - rubber washer - pushed through inside tank holes - rubber washer from underneath - locking nut to finish...is this original method still okay, skipping the metal washer and nut locking the top part mentioned earlier Hope someone can understand this and weigh in...thanks! From: Clara Foster Date: June 13, 2024, 08:15 AM Hello group, <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- I’m hoping everyone’s Thursday is off to a good start. Lately, I’ve been getting into different bread-baking techniques and I wanted to see if anyone has some successful recipes or tips. I just tried a sourdough loaf with seeds, and I’m genuinely proud of the crumb! Has anyone here worked with rye flour or other grains with success Excited to swap ideas! ===---=== Kind regards, Clara From: Miguel Hines Date: June 13, 2024, 09:01 AM <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- Hi Clara and friends, That sounds fantastic, Clara! My favorite bread to bake is focaccia, especially with sun-dried tomatoes. It’s quick, flavorful, and never goes uneaten. A helpful tip: always let your dough rest for enough time—the difference in texture is tremendous. Longer rising makes bread so much softer. <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- Wishing everyone fun in the kitchen! Take care, Miguel ===---=== From: Priya Bhatt Date: June 13, 2024, 10:24 AM Good morning folks, <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- Clara, your seeded sourdough sounds delightful! I tried a multigrain loaf not long ago with oats, pumpkin, and poppy. It gave a chewy bite and nutty flavor. Miguel, your advice about resting time is right—timing makes all the difference, especially for free-form loaves. I’ve learned to track temperature too, it really helps consistency and rise. <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- Can’t wait to see which breads everyone loves! Best regards, Priya <>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>--<>-- From: Marco Russo Date: June 13, 2024, 11:53 AM Hi all, Great to hear about all your baking adventures! I’ve experimented with whole wheat and spelt. The latest one was a braided bread with herbs—wonderful with soup. One idea: keep your ingredients at room temperature when mixing, it helps make the dough develop texture and flavor. Look forward to more baking inspiration! Warm wishes, Marco
