Because we got liquid into 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 motor, we fired up a new base (we have many), and I got to remember 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 scent of my early 1960's Lionel train set. Even though we have replaced half a dozen jars, we have yet to burn out a motor. Overall, very much worth having. But 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 jars are not lasting nearly as long as we should expect. I have owned 2 of 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025se blenders so far. 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 first one lasted about 3 months and burnt out. I went back to using my old full-size blender which has lasted for years, but missed 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 convenience of 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 little single-serve, so I purchased a second one. 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 lid of 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 second one cracked after a little over a month. I went to 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 company website to find out about getting a replacement lid. 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 lid was not that expensive, but with shipping cost of almost $10.00 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 part was going to cost almost as much as an entire new unit. I'm looking at purchasing a different brand now. This little smoothie machine is a great purchase! It is small and does not take up much counter space, and it holds a filling smoothie. Some o5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025r reviewers complained about needing to "shake" or stir to get 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 machine to blend properly. My guess is that 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025y are inexperience smoothie makers. When I was younger, I worked in a restaurant that sold fresh fruit smoothies and had a industrial smoothie machine. We still had to shake and stir at times. Here is my recommendation for a good smoothie...Add your liquid in first. I use somewhere between 2 and 4 oz. 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n add an easy to blend item... I use spinach, 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n top with cut fruit. (If you plan to use frozen fruit, allow to defrost in 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 fridge over night). 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n add in any powders you may use. I blend here to start. A few pulses to get it started and 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n I let it run for about 10 seconds. After it is blended, I 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n add crushed ice. I usually only add half to start, blend, and 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025n add 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 o5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025r half. Of 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 o5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025r personal blenders that I looked at, I love 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 fact that this one had a straw hole for easy drinking while on 5769d8e559eaba55c544dc93d136a025 go, but also slid closed like a coffee cup.
