Follow-up to CCC: A Communicating Commons Group on CAN
by Helene Finidori 16 Jun '13

16 Jun '13

Dear friends, I have created a Communicating the Commons group on the Commons Abundance Network for those who wish to continue the conversation we started in Berlin. I've started to post a few pictures of the posters of our workshops and Tina's minutes so that we can follow-up. You need to be registered on CAN first: http://commonsabundance.net/register/ And then you must request to join the Comunicating the Commons group: http://commonsabundance.net/groups/communicating-the-commons/ Sorry for those who are already registered in CAN and who may already have received several invitations to join the group! I am experimenting on the 'automatic' features of Wordpress here, and there seems to be a few glitches... :) All the best Helene

Blogs and writeups
by tina bakolitsa 07 Jun '13

Is there a place for collecting blogs and attendee write-ups of the meeting? It was, by many accounts, a unique but hard-to-digest experience, so maybe a collage of individual perspectives might help generate the bigger picture. This is the comms platform after all :) I see Neal has one up already: http://www.shareable.net/blog/a-report-from-the-economics-and-the-commons-c… My personal take here: http://occupylondon.org.uk/archives/30026 Tina

Future of work idea/poll platform
by tina bakolitsa 05 Jun '13

05 Jun '13

What's the future of work? How can we ensure it's more equitable? Vote and/or add your ideas at http://opinion.berkeley.edu/occupy/ Added a few of the ideas I came across during the ECC meeting but there are bound to be others l missed. To interact, go to http://opinion.berkeley.edu/occupy/ click on "First time", then click on and rate two blooms (coloured circles) on a sliding ruler (slider) scale. This done, you can create an account and enter your own idea(s) - to create more than one, you'll need to create more than one account. The aim of this exercise (takes a few minutes to complete overall) is to collect ideas (and idea ratings) from a wide range (different backgrounds) of participants. If you have application examples, relevant links and so on, please provide them if possible. Once ideas and ratings are collected, there are other tools we can use to see how they can connect/link-up together. Another aim is to test this platform, so if you want to test this out and participate, please try to do so within the next 48 hours. If there's anyone else you think might be interested in this exploration, please forward. Any questions or problems, let me know. Feedback also welcome :) Cheers, Tina PS. Is there a general ECC list set up yet?

Is this the general list?

One question This is the list of all the participants of the Commons Conference or just for Culture and Communication participants? CCC minutes
by tina bakolitsa 24 May '13

24 May '13

Dear CCC'ers, Below is a pirate pad link with the notes I took yesterday and today. Please give it a read-through and correct errors, add links/omissions etc. I included the agenda and some brief info about the participants listed on the wiki at the top. http://piratepad.net/ccc2013 I'm not sure everyone who attended is on this mailing list. I'm adding Tim ( timactivist(a)gmail.com) and Roberto (rverzola(a)gn.apc.org) there might be more. If people have no objection, it might be useful to have an itemised mailing list so people can follow-up with individuals and projects at will. Cheers, Tina

About a possible globalwikisprint
by Bernardo Gutiérrez 23 May '13

23 May '13

This is a response to George, School of Commoning of London Tomorrow I will publish in Spanish the method and how we did the #P2Pwikisprint of the P2p Foundation, and how it survived as a bigger process, #GlobalP2P. We will translate it these days to share this process in English too. About doing a wikisprint during this days.... we can think about it. It depends on the community. But a global P2PWikisprint is necessary. The more real would be to speak about it, start preparing it and to plan during severa months how to do it. We worked around 3 months to do the last one in Latin America+ Souther Europe. But a GlobalOne is a nice imaginary :) I share with you all two text about '2 year of 15M Spanish movements and its protoypes You wrote, George, about the future of Occupy. If you are planning to record video during ECC, please read this
by Franco Iacomella 21 May '13

21 May '13

Hi!, if you are planning to take your camera with you and film some video during ECC, please join others that are willing to do so (like the people from "Remix the Commons", Código Sur and others). Join now the recently created group called "ECC Video Documentation": http://commonsandeconomics.org/groups/ecc-video-documentation/ The group conformed by people that are interested in the audiovisual documentation of the ECC. If you are taking a camera to record video material (you can film a session, debate, footage or even arrange an interview) during the conference, join in this group so we can coordinate the different persons & projects; creating and sharing a common-pool resource of audiovisual creations. See you soon! Best, Franco. -- Franco Iacomella
