Hi, I'm new with EMC. My first question is if it's possible to run EMC inside a virtual machine. I know about the real time kernel and the real time nature of the application. I'm not thinking running EMC inside a VM to control a real machine, but for evaluation and (some) development purpose only. Thanks in advance and regards, Martin

I have successfully installed bdi4.30 inside qemu 0.8.0 running on an Athlon processor. Performance was slow, and I had to increase BASE_PERIOD (not 100% sure that's the .ini file variable) or the emulated system would lock up. However, it allowed me to test that the current CVS version of emc2 would compile and run on this system. Jeff
