Outrageous!

CopySouth was one of the groups that got behind Prof. Potel of
Argentina last year when he was arrested and changed criminally with
for copyright infringement.

The charges were dropped in the end ....and in part because so many
people and groups like us said " oh no you don't!"

Any one interested in forming up a little action/ online petition
group to say the same thing about this South African case?

It shows, among other things, shows how copyright can be used as a
tool of censorship. One of the best known UK copyright cases, the 1972
case of Hubbard v. Vosper involved the head of Scientology, the now
deceased Ron Hubbard, trying ---and failing --- to use copyright to
silence a critic, Cyril Vosper.

Hi everyone.

Here is a link to a local southern African news story about the use of
so-called "copyright law" apparently to intimidate political
activists. I wonder how many copies he was making?
