I am organising a small “Tree Festival” on the Biodynamic new land, now called Oakbrook, just south of Hawkwood College, Stroud, on Mayday, Monday 1st May, at the same time as Hawkwood Open Day.
All are welcome.  The land needs more projects, and the Biodynamic Land Trust who own it are looking for a farmer interested in growing veg, or similar projects, and also ‘educational’ programmes. A community hub for giving workshops is planned for next year.  So please come along to view the land, and its possibilities.

TREE FESTIVAL AT OAKBROOK; Monday 1st May  10am- 5 pm

10am :  Walk the land and launch of Commemorative Trees
 view sites where trees can be planted.

11-12.30: Discover Trees.
Going out to be with a tree, observe and draw its leaves, flowers, bark, shape, its energies.  Return to share with others. Alternative activity for children: matching leaves and tree outlines, naming trees, bark rubbing.
12.30-1.30: Tree Qi Kung outside yurt.
     Tree activities inside for you young children with a parent.

2 pm Maypole dance at Hawkwood

3-4pm Discover trees

4-5pm Tea time,

tea provided, questions, information for potential volunteers and those with an interest in projects on the land .
