Christians invested in protecting and deepening democracy cannot replace the work of politics with moralizing denunciations or platitudes of opposition and prophetic critique. We cannot settle for pleas to the powerful to reconsider their attitudes when what is so desperately needed is a mass movement to dispossess the powerful.</span><br>
