<p>Dear Reader,</p>
<p>A Buddhist nun shared a phrase that touched my heart, ‘<em>Mother Earth is doing her best</em>.’ It has been my mantra as I notice the earliest signs of Spring beginning to emerge where I live in Rose Valley, Pennsylvania – a robin, and the very first buds of renewal outside my door. And even though the rose bushes still look stark and bleak, I know the promise of life is there. We are nearing the turning point between winter and spring in this hemisphere, coinciding with the day our Spring edition of <a href="https://kosmosjournal.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a2e6f01f29f00e615c1467a04&id=de40aab830&e=1714399d97" target="_blank">Kosmos Quarterly</a> publishes, <em>Rising Earth Awareness. </em>
</p>
<p>You have heard the phrase, <em>Great Turning</em> – the transition to a global society in harmony with all Life. All around us, we see the early signs of this emergence. People are waking up to the realities of our <img class="m_3318667519279013702wp-image-84680 m_3318667519279013702alignleft" src="https://www.kosmosjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/astor-IMG_6075-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="295" height="197">present situation. Yes, it looks bleak at times, and many still live in denial – business as usual. Yet, there is no denying it – greater Earth awareness on the rise.</p>
<p>If you have ever been to Astor Place in New York City, you have seen the big <em>Cube</em> sculpture, positioned there on its axis. It is heavy and it takes more than one person to move it. I have seen friends and strangers come together to turn the <em>Cube</em>, and participated myself a few times. One person can not do it alone. People must push together. That is the kind of moment we face, except it is no less than a turning point for humanity.</p>
<p>In this spirit, <em>Kosmos</em> seeks to bring together those who wish to unite our energy and seed our communities with hope and resilience. The <a href="https://kosmosjournal.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=a2e6f01f29f00e615c1467a04&id=209cba2d53&e=1714399d97" target="_blank">Climate, Consciousness and Community Summit takes place April 20-23</a>, during Easter, Passover and Earth Day. This is the great work of our time. No matter what our individual outlook may be – doubt, fear, outrage, determination – each of us has a choice to make, whether or not we will <em>push together</em>, for Life. Join us!</p>
