      <pre>Hi commoners,

the documents of the greatest intelligence leak in history can now be
viewed for the first time in an exhibition survey in Berlin, the former
'capital of the spies' and the present retreat of many digital
dissidents. Launched at the beginning of this week under the title
SIGNALS – The Snowden Files in Art, Media and Archives, the exhibition
shows that there is a great need for talks! But also knowledge gaps,
which want to be filled.

Some heard of the Snowden Files for the first time, someone else
believed so far, that Snowden was only a fiction, and for those who are
already involved with the subject matter, many questions remain open:
What do these documents actually look like? Why is it attractive to use
them as artistic material? And how do archivists work with the secret
documents? SIGNALS addresses such questions and provides answers. Lively
exchange, intensive interaction and not least astonishment, especially
among those who for the first time took a look at the actual documents
and their commoning in art, media and archives.

The Berliner-Gazette photographer Andi Weiland has recorded the opening
days in pictures:
