As we wrote you last month, Andrew Kliman and David Harvey have been debating in <a href="http://marxisthumanistinitiative.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3bfae7928775a996aaff05fe6&id=3bee58d0e5&e=f55c2c465a" style="color:#0000cd;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">New Left Project</a> about Marx and his relevance to economic crisis and recession. Kliman’s just-published rejoinder to Harvey is re-printed on <a href="http://marxisthumanistinitiative.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3bfae7928775a996aaff05fe6&id=f2cb73a26e&e=f55c2c465a" style="color:#0000cd;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">our site</a>, where you can also find earlier pieces. <br>

Those of you who are coming to NYC for <a href="http://marxisthumanistinitiative.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3bfae7928775a996aaff05fe6&id=b1a0d82866&e=f55c2c465a" style="color:#0000cd;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">Left Forum</a> May 29-31 can hear a discussion of the issues and consequences at MHI’s panel, <strong>“Harvey vs. Marx: on capitalist crisis and ‘Marxist entertainment’”</strong> on Sunday May 31 at 3:40 p.m. (Session 7) in Rm. 1.121. The participants will be Kliman, Brendan Cooney (Kapitalism101) and Doug Lain (Zero Books and blogs). (Harvey was invited, but responded that he will be out of town and miss Left Forum.)<br>

Much of what passes for “anti-capitalism” is frequently just “anti-neoliberalism.” A discussion of the differences between them and the dangers of conflating them, with special focus on events in Greece. Two speakers from <a href="http://marxisthumanistinitiative.us6.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=3bfae7928775a996aaff05fe6&id=06fce37196&e=f55c2c465a" style="color:#0000cd;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">TPTG</a> will appear via Skype from Greece.
