People who see little to cheer about in their futures. <I>The Indignant Ones.</I><BR>The scene is set with an impassioned statement by <B>Arthur Edwards </B>explaining why he feels so much depends on financial literacy, associative financial literacy that is.<BR><BR><B>Sign of our Time</B> follows with a not untypical montage of commentary from Britain’s (left of centre) <I>Observer </I>newspaper concerning the encampment at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.<BR><BR>For the general problem, and for the<B> Occupy Wall Street</B> movement in particular, <B>Kim Chotzen</B> provides an interesting reflection. Not meant as a spiritual
version of ‘on yer bike’, but as a considered thought, she asks: What would happen if young people occupied themselves with their destinies, with what they want to do with their lives?<BR><BR>In <B>Archive</B>, attention is drawn to <B>Rudolf Steiner’s</B> challenging idea of aging money - and of young money in particular. Though a red rag to their bull, one wonders if the bond markets (or the human beings in them) might yet take heed of his counsel.<BR><BR>The <B>AEX</B> pages this month are given over to a ‘call for comments’ concerning a project to design ‘youth bonds’, which, by providing capital for young people, could give to the bond markets a new, less-self-centred orientation.<BR><B><BR>Accounting Corner</B> completes the issue with a reflection on how the mirroring nature of accounting can act as an entrepreneur’s guide, even to the extent of sharing surpluses/deficits.</div></DIV></DIV>
