Michel, definitely count us in on this. I think you are right, that<br>
while there are no guarantees, that in many ways this transition is<br>
starting now.<br>

One sign that seems to me to be connected to both wikileaks phenomenon<br>
earlier, and the Pirate Party/Tunisia/Egypt activity is that more and<br>
more mainstream programmers and internet advocates (like Douglas<br>
Rushkoff) are seriously discussing or already contributing to efforts<br>
to create truly p2p/distributed internet infrastructure. I know you've<br>
seen me state this previously, but I will repeat it here:<br>

The pressures close, control, and centralize the networks and software<br>
that are the "internet" by corporations and governments are driving<br>
the rapid evolution of a completely distributed internet<br>
infrastructure. The technological building blocks to create a<br>
distributed internet have existed for some time now, it has largely<br>
been a matter of obstacles being social/political/cultural.<br>

So, this old, forgotten book is now really important again for the at<br>
least part of the discussion on the basic exploration of concepts<br>
