Dear Karl,

it's really the same list, and the change name by I think Franco is accidental

it's for open discussion on all p2p matters, not about the foundation specifically, though it is also the place where we 'built' community around our concerns

I will ask James to place a clearer link to the mailing list on the blog

Our Ning forum really lacks a clear purpose still, there is no community manager, and forum discussions rarely take off, I use it to place announcements that are too formal for our blog, but I hope it can evolve into a medium for people working on a true p2p infrastructure as well as generally more activist and action-oriented concerns
Michel,

What are the rules for sending email to this list? Is this a forum for
philosophical discussion where we can comment on the various topics posted?
The old list was called "P2PResearch" which sounded more focused, but the new
one is simply "P2P Foundation".

I'd also like to point out that finding the email list could be made easier.
My point of entry was the blog, which has links to the wiki, Ning group, and
sections titled Resources and Community. Nowhere on this page are the terms
'email' or 'mailing list'. I ended up using Google to find the list server
page.

What is the purpose of the Ning group?
