Dear all,

The annual grass roots summer conference Koppelting gets a special winter
edition on citizen science...

*Meetkoppel*
All over the Netherlands and the rest of the world ‘citizen scientists’
measure the things they want to know, using methods that they have often
developed themselves. In the weekend of 26 and 27 January they come
together at De WAR to share experiences, learn from each other and inspire
others. Will you be there?

During this weekend De WAR will overflow with workshops, lectures,
hackathons, demonstrations, brainstorms and other activities. What they
have in common: they are about measuring and counting of all the things
that say something about the health of your city, village or neighbourhood.
Things like air quality, bird populations, bats, climate change, you name
it.

*Program*
On www.koppelting.org you can see the line up so far. A brainstorm on how
to measure your ditch, demonstrations of data analysis, lectures about
measuring heat stress, the use of open data, the launch of a satellite and
keeping track of all those fireworks that flew into the air on new year's
eve.

Everyone who wants to share knowledge, needs answers to a problem or wants
to build something during the weekend can add to the program. In De WAR all
the facilities are available to get the job one. So come along,
participate, sign up at the website!

Best regards,
Diana, Dini, Harmen, Tammo and all the folks at Meet je Stad!
