Interested in an alternative gap semester? FOCUS Climate Gap Year in
collaboration with CAPE Consulting and Global Climate Corps, are offering
an upcoming Spring immersive in Auroville, India. This international
ecovillage of 3,000 people from over 50 countries strives to build “a city
the Earth needs” in southeastern India. Students will learn from local
experts about how climate has impacted things like renewable energy and
electricity demand, transportation, soil resilience, water systems and
agriculture.

By living in communities experiencing the impacts and those implementing
solutions, students will learn about the wide range of skills and
challenges that any climate action requires: collaboration, science,
technology, policy and legislation, storytelling, media and energy.

With FOCUS Climate Gap Year, you gain more than a semester of hands on
knowledge and experience, you are building an inter-generational network of
climate experts and champions with their continuing mentorship program.

Look to the future for FOCUS programs in 2020 and 2021 that are also
accepting applications at this time. Build your pathway to a sustainable
future with year long or semester options and earn up to 18 college credits.
