Hello

I’ve sent a google doc link
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iciRHyRCI7WQqPJq3YBGkgmoTT-DUISl2M-yjqdz-Qo/>
in
an earlier email but now have added a paypal link to it, and also realize
that maybe you’ll have an easier time forwarding it to potential partners
if I paste it into your email. Please donate if you can, send it around to
anyone you think might help. If you’re one of the people who requested
travel expenses and never added a dollar amount in the planning doc
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xN5NMkMLmCuChbYL1b9kLQDSm6GdelFuRZJHf7o81dM/edit#>please
do that asap. Also confirm whether you’re coming for sure.

thanks!
Stephanie

Hello!

I’m writing to invite you to participate in an action-oriented mapping
project in Madison June 5-12, 2016.

Having worked for an inclusive and equitable social economy with the Dane
County TimeBank <http://danecountytimebank.org/> and its diverse
cross-sector stakeholders for the last decade, we are ever more concerned
about the stark inequalities and disparities across the greater Madison
area. Now we have developed an enhanced framework, Mutual Aid Networks
<http://www.mutualaidnetwork.org/>, which is designed become a powerful
community-driven and -owned economic development engine, as well as a
method for voluntary wealth redistribution.

The recent Race to Equity <http://racetoequity.net/> report, along with
other news of dismal local statistics, has opened local residents’ eyes to
the stark inequalities and unfairness in our current distribution of
wealth. Now it’s time for us to do something about it.

During this week-long working summit we will convene world-leading
technicians and peer-to-peer economy designers, including Michel Bauwens of P2P
Foundation <http://p2pfoundation.net/>, together with local leaders,
organizers, and interested residents.

We will identify and map existing assets, show how creative resource
exchange and sharing can provide more equitable distribution, and create
infrastructure to develop those circuits and resources that are lacking as
we move toward local self-sustainability.

We will include a vision for a basic human livelihood and show quite
visibly how we can voluntarily, joyfully redistribute wealth through
currently available practices.

Then we will act on what we learn.

This is an invitation to get involved in two main ways:
First of all we hope you can participate in as much of the summit as
possible. We will kick off on Sunday June 5th, from 3-6pm at Art In 1444 E.
Washington with an introduction between visitors, mappers, and local
residents/stakeholders. We will ground the event by exploring our local
context, give an overview of the process, and do some collaborative
goal-setting. This will be your opportunity to help shape the week’s work.
The rest of the week’s program is currently being developed together with
our partners and participants and will evolve as it unfolds.

Second, we invite you to become an official partner of the summit, through
contributing to the organization or resourcing of the event. Financial or
in-kind contributions of $100 or more will give you official partner
status. Find suggested list of in-kind needs we have already identified
below. Or contact us to discuss your ideas and offers. Partners will be
listed on all outreach materials and recognized at the events.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you June 5!

Yours,
Stephanie Rearick
