You might be interested in our newly launched web site which carries
results from research into unions and civil society being carried out at
Cardiff University http://www.wiserd.ac.uk/unions



It holds data on a range of relevant areas for labour academics, union
officers and activists:

·         the most comprehensive statistical portrait of regional
variations in trade union membership, presence and coverage in the UK
undertaken to date.

·         Research notes on

o   understanding the official stats on union membership

o   the Labour Force Survey data on union membership

o   union membership among migrants

·         a look at trade union use of social media around the campaign on
the recent anti-trade union legislation

·         a regular blog



The site will grow as material is added during the course of the 3 year
ESRC-funded research project and is intended to be a resource for union
officers, activists and academics with an interest in the labour movement.
