Dear colleague,

Together with Robert Madelin, Senior Innovation Adviser to President
Juncker, I would like to invite you to a policy event which will take place
in Brussels this June 21st, focussing on the *social applications enabled
by distributed ledger technologies*. It aims at tacking stock of existing
activities in this emerging field, considering their regulatory and
standardisation implications, as well as defining a roadmap of how the
European Commission can contribute to these developments, in particular
through Horizon 2020 research actions. The line-up of speakers includes
experts and practitioners, as well as policy makers and civil society.

Agenda and registration can be found at
https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/news/blockchains-social-good.
Participation is free but early registration is recommended.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any other potentially
interested participant!
