We=E2=80=99re building a series of coins and resources that play complement=
ary roles, instead of trying to get a single currency to fit all needs at o=
nce. To do this, we are focusing on the following :
Faircoin for the value storage role, starting now and with the long term ob=
jective of using it as a price reference.
Faircredit, a worldwide mutual credit system as a means of exchange of good=
s and services, supported by Faircoin.
And the following resources:
Fairfunds: Faircoin funds for donations to various types of projects. The G=
lobal South Fund will be used for local collective empowerment projects at =
various levels, while the Commons Fund and the Technology Infrastructure Fu=
nd will fund global projects, which may also include globally coordinated n=
etworks of local projects.
Fairsavings as a source of Faircoin savings for those members who aren=E2=
=80=99t security experts.
Fairmarket, FairCoop=E2=80=99s virtual market that will allow members to us=
e Faircredit, and anyone to use Faircoin.
Fairbag as a resource to support backup encrypted savings and wallet manage=
ment for advanced users who want to keep their savings in case of an emerge=
ncy.
Coopfunding as a permanent platform to raise donations in any Faircoin-conv=
ertible currency, which feed the Fairfunds.
These, together with other projects presently in discussion which will be a=
nnounced and launched in the near future, will serve to build the fundament=
als of the FairCoop economic system. This system is meant to be fractal, i.=
e., from the experience in the root platform it can be moved and replicated=
to different regional and local scales around the globe, with interoperabi=
lity at different levels for the entire FairCoop ecosystem. Next, we will e=
xplain the plan=E2=80=99s three phases as we envision them.
1st phase: Increase Faircoin price and prioritize savings, in order to incr=
ease capital of FairFunds
The key concept for understanding the project=E2=80=99s potential to genera=
te economic resources is the market cap, or market capitalization, which eq=
uals the amount of existing coins times the value of one unit. Some of the =
activists promoting this project bought large quantities of Faircoin at a v=
ery reduced price with the intention of redistributing to FairFunds project=
s and revalue by generating real value in a cooperative way through FairCoo=
p. As explained on the Funds page, a primary goal of this phase is for Glob=
al South collectives and important pro-commons projects to receive Faircoin=
capital which could be useful to their development, together with the free=
knowledge resources and other types of support they will find in the socia=
l network (link). That is, to generate exactly the opposite dynamic as with=
that of the global financial power, which devalues people=E2=80=99s goods =
in order to keep their resources. Initiatives to prioritize at this stage w=
ill be: =E2=80=93 FairSaving. FairCoop=E2=80=99s multi-signature digital wa=
llet, which forces a minimum saving period of 6 months. =E2=80=93 FairCoop =
wallet. Linked p2p multi-sig wallet. =E2=80=93 FairBag. FairCoop wallet ser=
vice that will allow a trustworthy encrypted backup which can be recovered =
in an emergency situation. =E2=80=93 FairFunds. At the starting phase, it i=
s important to spread the word and get projects to begin joining and feedin=
g the various funds. In this sense we already have Coopfunding (link) for c=
rowdfunding campaigns for FairFunds, exchangeable for Faircoins. Coopfundin=
g will soon have a mixed option: 50% grant + 50% Fairsavings.

2nd phase: Economic activity: moving products and services all around (Dece=
mber 2014 =E2=80=93 December 2015)
In this second phase, when the market cap reaches an amount that makes Fair=
coin generate commercial interest, and while the growth curve of this marke=
t cap becomes more moderate, it will grow in importance, creating economic =
activity both among FairCoop members and worldwide. Its important to unders=
tand that the community=E2=80=99s ability to purchase products and services=
depends on the total market cap of the currency it holds, and therefore tr=
ade expansion depends largely on the success of the cryptocurrency vehicle =
used as a store of value.
The projects to be prioritized in this phase will be: =E2=80=93 FairFunds: =
This will be the time to start distributing funds in the form of already-av=
ailable Faircoin capital, to support participation of projects in the coop=
=E2=80=99s economic activity during the first year, and to be used freely f=
rom the second year on. =E2=80=93 FairCredit: Global mutual loan system, su=
pported by Faircoin, the currency to promote its use for production and con=
sumption in the FairCoop ecosystem. =E2=80=93 FairMarket: Virtual market th=

3rd phase: A fair economic system consolidated worldwide (January 2016 =E2=
=80=93 =E2=80=A6=E2=80=A6..)
This third phase, of course still further ahead, will be characterized by t=
he consolidation of the ecosystem and its expansion to as many levels as po=
ssible. It is important to note that for this to happen, the value of Fairc=
oin should consolidate so it can serve as a reference value, allowing us to=
stop depending on the prices drawn by fiat currencies.
This may be the most difficult priority to achieve. In order to generate th=
e reference value, it will be necessary to create very broad collaboration =
dynamics among many different people who can build large cooperative networ=
ks to defend the value of Faircoin as a benchmark of our ecosystem.
Regarding other FairCoop objectives, we will try to increasingly multiply t=
he cooperation and solidarity dynamics in every sense, leveraging the share=
d knowledge and the projects implemented at FairCoop, as well as the collec=
tives that were part of it.
It will be, at the end of the day, about spreading the seeds for cooperatio=
n, common good and fair economy so they can expand to as many corners of pl=

Tras Barcelona y Londres, este =C3=BAltimo mes FairCoop ha sido presentado =
tambi=C3=A9n en Berlin, Lisboa, Oporto y Madrid.=20
La primera cita del mes se dio en la capital alemana el 8 de Abril en Agora=
Collective (http://agoracollective.org) un espacio de coworking que facili=
ta formas creativas de intercambio, desarrollo e innovaci=C3=B3n con un tra=
sfondo social. All=C3=AD, asistentes individuales y miembros de diferentes =
colectivos se mostraron muy interesados en el proyecto como aglutinador de =
iniciativas de econom=C3=ADa colaborativa y el desarrollo tecnol=C3=B3gico =
que conlleva la cryptomoneda Faircoin como punta de lanza. Fruto de este en=
cuentro, qued=C3=B3 abierto el proceso de creaci=C3=B3n de un nodo local en=
Berl=C3=ADn.
La siguientes presentaciones fueron en Portugal: la primera en Lisboa el 18=
de Abril en RDA69 (https://rda69.wordpress.com/) y la segunda en Oporto el=
25 de Abril en SEDE. A la presentaci=C3=B3n de Lisboa asistieron, entre ot=
ras, el Colectivo1000101 y la ReCo =E2=80=93 Rede Cooperar =E2=80=93 Aldeia=
das Amoreiras. Los asistentes a esta presentaci=C3=B3n se mostraron entusi=
asmados con los principios y valores que promueve FairCoop y se gener=C3=B3=
un interesante debate sobre cuestiones tecnol=C3=B3gicas tanto referidas =
a criptomonedas y Faircoin como a cuestiones relacionadas con el procom=C3=
=BAn y otras herramientas que se est=C3=A1n desarrollando y que pronto podr=
=C3=A1n utilizarse.
Resultado de esta presentaci=C3=B3n es el nodo que se est=C3=A1 empezando a=
crear en la capital portuguesa. Continuando en Portugal, una semana despu=
=C3=A9s la cita se dio en Oporto, ciudad que ya posee un nodo activo. All=
=C3=AD los asistentes se interesaron mucho sobre las herramientas del com=
=C3=BAn que se est=C3=A1n desarrollando en FairCoop y c=C3=B3mo introducirl=
as a escala global.
De nuevo Faircoin volvi=C3=B3 a generar un rico debate tanto por su novedad=
tecnol=C3=B3gica como por sus amplias y diversas posibilidades.

n el MediaLab Prado (medialab-prado.es) un laboratorio ciudadano de producc=

plora nuevas formas de experimentaci=C3=B3n y aprendizaje colaborativo surg=
idas de las redes digitales.

olution.tv=E2=80=93 estuvo muy concurrido y la integraci=C3=B3n de FairCoop=
con proyectos de econom=C3=ADa solidaria y monedas sociales gener=C3=B3 gr=
