there's a wordpress plugin that can integrate facebook comments and
twitter to post comments (in paper, i haven't tested it yet)

what's nice from conversejs is that it uses regular xmpp/jabber so you
don't need to use that exactly same plugin to communicate and use
whatever you prefer.  it could be used with google accounts until google
decides to close federation altogether.

same for irc and any other well stablished protocol that has more than
one software implementation :)

i'm in the irc channel and you can find me in jabber using this address.
