yeap, that's really a pity and I know of a few v4 users who regret that
(but still adopted v4). Thing is they are now fully dependent on the
STRO foundation - who doesn't seem to understand the importance of the
software commons and of the need for free licenses.

Of course there are alternatives that are free as in freedom, such as
the mutual credit module in Drupal, which can be extended into many
directions with tons of modules.
