The Economics Of Education: Literacy / Pedagogy / Funding
Register now for the 2nd Economic Literacy Project Event. Early bird booking until the end of June.
August 16-18, 2012 Hawthorne Valley School in Harlemville, NY

A public conference geared towards a better understanding of the interplay between education and economics in an independent Waldorf school community. The gathering is an opportunity for professional development and networking. This is suitable for administrators, teachers, funders, board members, high school students, Waldorf alumni, and interested business persons. This gathering is a follow up to the initial gathering held by the Economic Literacy Project in 2011. The conference coordinating group includes John Bloom, Arthur Edwards, and Gary Lamb.

Interweaving conference themes will include:

• Rudolf Steiner's economic thinking in relation to current economicpractice.

• Practical aspects of pedagogy with an emphasis on economic literacy teaching methods, assessments, and resources.

• Exploring new paradigms for funding education in a community setting.

For conference updates and information on an online economic literacy exchange group, please e-mail Caitlin Peerson.
