This metaphor is still within a debt/based currency paradigm. The debt to
future generations is in how we manage our economy as a commons. The debt
based upon the privatized currency model is a debt to the banking cartels.
If we remain tracked within the neo-classical hall of mirrors, then yes,
future generations which may be equally ill-informed about actual
practices and about expecting different outcomes out of the same until
death do we part willing participation in an eternal debt to free loaders.
There is also a social contract to focus upon the actual outcomes, rather
than various fictions used to terrorize and defraud. Science is also
supposed to operate as a commons, though that process has been
substantially corrupted for the sake of corporate returns on investment
first, foremost, and lastly.
