banking system to be held on 29th September 2011 in Winchester and organised
by the Centre for Sustainable Banking at the University of Southampton.****

conference and holding a session on local banking.  Adair Turner, Chairman
of the Financial Services Authority, and Charles Goodhart, Emeritus
Professor of Economics at the LSE, are keynote speakers along with Professor

The conference is both academic and public, with the public session opening
at 3pm for which there is free entry. Winchester is a 1 hour  train journey
