Why hasn't anyone made a currency out of this for their local farmer's
markets?  Weights could be standardized and sealed.  And it has
unquestionable value (stored effort + molecular energy) that lasts
years.  PLUS, to make the currency cheaper and easier to obtain people
will plant more flowers in their community -- it's like a perfect
self-organizing system of currency generation and community
beautification with little threat of corruption (by the bees??
balderdash!).

Anyone.... anyone?  Bueller?
