myself i have no problem that services of companies like Google censor something, i rather see problem in what WE do ourselves - build our online experience around such services often not paying attention to how they work...
BTW i see p2pfoundation still using google tracker for web statistics, on positive side it looks like open technologies like piwik get more appreciation lately - "We are happy to announce that Piwik is ranked #2 in the top of web analytics tools in Germany.
