Success! Mattel will stop toying with deforestation. Please give a gift today so we can continue to protect Indonesia's rainforests, home to endangered Sumatran tigers.

Hello friends,
I've got fantastic news – after we exposed Barbie's dirty deforestation habit, Mattel has just announced it will drop deforestation.
Over 500,000 emails were sent by Greenpeace supporters, telling Mattel that Indonesia's rainforests – and endangered species such as Sumatran tigers - are not to be toyed with. Now Mattel has made a commitment not to use toy packaging from companies that are tearing down the forests.
We're thrilled with this news, but it's just one small step in our campaign to save Indonesia's rainforests so I'd like to ask for your help again.
Please give a gift today so we can continue our work to protect these valuable forests.
Under its new commitment, Mattel has instructed its suppliers to avoid wood fibre from controversial sources, including companies “that are known to be involved in deforestation”. This includes Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) which relies on destroying Indonesian forests to obtain its raw materials.
Of course, we'll be keeping a close eye on Mattel's progress to make sure it sticks to these commitments, and we'll still be pushing other toy companies such as Hasbro and Disney to do the same.
We also need to keep up the pressure on APP. It needs to realise that trashing rainforests is bad for the people of Indonesian, for critically-endangered animals and, as more companies follow Mattel, bad for business. We can do it, but only with your help.
So please give a gift now to help us expose APP's role in the destruction of Indonesia's rainforests.
Thanks again for your support,
Jamie Woolley
