That's a very interesting article. Had a few lights go off in my head as a result. I read a lot of investment newsletters...folks hawking ETFs and that sort of thing. (personally I'm a dividend-monger!) Farmland and water is going to be really big, and China and their high-networth collaborators in North America are busy snapping up the best farmland in the world and turning our farmland into a bubble. So I'm in kind of a catch-22 in my design of a Growers Network because I know that the bubble will pop and destroy a lot of family farms along the way, and I need to find a way to protect landholders, farmers and investors all at once when the inevitable 'Minsky Moment' occurs with reference to farmland. Gas and Oil and the flexible term-structure of trade credit issued by a Guarantee Society, is, I suspect, the answer that all interested parties need to hear.
