I previously wrote:

Just as the words 'fetish' and 'totalitarianism' betray a certain fear on the 
part of Nicholas, the word 'absolute' betrays a certain desparation on mine.  
I'd amend this to say something like:

  Open source is about maximising the freedom to communicate and modify 
designs.

I am interested in hearing you elaborate on your fears, Nicholas.
