               Dear Michael,

With gratitude, the 6th Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy held the
best conference we’ve had to date. With over 200 participants, we far
exceeded our previous attendance record, offered bilingual interpretation
and childcare for the first time, and drew from a greater number of
cooperatives and organizations than ever before. You can read all of our
media coverage and a conference summary
here<http://usworker.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=c7f8afbb68&e=eece81a9b7>
.

*Most importantly, we engaged folks on a national level who see themselves
as part of a movement to transform the economy: an economy of democracy and
cooperation. *

Collaboration and movement-building has brought us to the place we are
today. The Occupy Wall St movement has allowed us to engage hundreds, even
thousands of people about workplace democracy - people who are eager to
learn about the democratic alternatives that exist to the mainstream
corporate hierarchy.

We are thrilled to be co-organizing a Worker Cooperatives Training and
Roundtable<http://usworker.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=87a8f7150e&e=eece81a9b7>on
January 8th in NYC for the growing cooperatives that are emerging from
the Occupy Wall St. Movement. If you can’t make it, don’t worry: we’ll be
creating both a video and a workshop template and materials to help worker
owned cooperatives do outreach in their own communities.

If you consider yourself a part of this exciting movement, *you can
help*<http://usworker.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=034c918fd2&e=eece81a9b7>.
We at ECWD and in the worker cooperative movement know that the time is now
to seize this historic
moment<http://usworker.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=b01bc4cd97&e=eece81a9b7>!
As the past few months have shown, there is a new mandate for “an economy
worth occupying<http://usworker.us4.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=b32554cfe4&e=eece81a9b7>.”
We all believe that the worker-owned cooperative movement is an essential
part of creating an economy we can get behind!

*

The worker co-op movement is growing, *but it must be stronger.* The ECWD
can help make worker cooperativism available and accessible to those who
need it most. Over the next two years, and at our conference in 2013, the
ECWD would like to: Build on *worker cooperative education and
outreach*; *increase
the accessability of our conferences and tranings*; and *create more
equitable compensation for staff*.

Donations of any amount will greatly aid us in moving forward with our
goals. <http://usworker.us4.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=6afa7eb0ae&e=eece81a9b7>
·*$10 will provide several of pages* of bilingual material translations
·*$100 will purchase interpretation* for 2 workshops at our next conference
·*$500 will make childcare possible* for all of our next conference
·*$1,000 will allow us to offer worker cooperative assistance* to an area
where its needed most, such as to our worker co-op friends at Occupy Wall
Street.

You can donate online<http://usworker.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=fda959e36be722faffe0d59ab&id=662cc63bbb&e=eece81a9b7>at
