Intenté instalar mediante la opción GUI. Se me congeló al apretar el botón
de volver atrás en la pantalla de particionar. Tuve que apagar forzado.
Mañana lo intento con la instalación de texto (no GUI).
Quería reportar esto.

Hola,
De acuerdo a lo propuesto por Marcos, acá van mis observaciones al probar
el DVD Live de la versión 2.0 Alpha-ES:
El kernel no es 2.6.29 en la versión live predeterminada (la primera de l
lista de posibilidades), sino 2.6.27-libre (había un comentario en la lista
del que yo interpreté que era 29... Es 27).
La máquina booteó normalmente y sin problemas. La vez anterior me había
pedido que definiera la resolución y las opciones eran del orden de 80x60,
etc. Nada como 1200x600 que es la resolución de máxima de mi pantallita.
Antes que nada quiero decir que estoy encantado tanto con la visual como con
la idea y los contenidos. ¡Esta versión está espectacular!
Felicitaciones a todos los desarrolladores y contribuyentes al proyecto.
Ahora los desafíos:
El sonido y la placa WiFi, no van ni para atrás ni para adelamnte. Aún no he
probado instalando y configurando, que espero que se pueda hacer. Sólo
reporto por ahora mi experiencia con el DVD Live. (Al que si hay forma de
cambiarle la configuración o los drivers, yo la desconozco - traté de hace
sudo o su en la consola pero me faltó la contraseña de ROOT).
SONIDO:
Abriendo el ALSA mixer en GUI reporta que la placa de audio es una HDA Intel
y el chip es Realtek ALC662 rev1.
WiFi:
KWiFi Manager dice que no hay puntos de acceso. Presionando el botón de
"Buscar redes", la ventana emergente dice que la búsqueda ha terminado pero
no se han encontrado redes.
Adjunto la información completa de configuración del sistema de mi ASUS
según la reporta Musix (de acuerdo a lo que Musix ha detectado) sacada a
través de LINUXINFO, así como la misma información provista por Windows XP
Home para la misma máquina a través de MSinfo32.

Testeando más:
Fui a MUSIXCONTROL a tratar de ver si lograba cambiar configuraciones.
El tamaño mínimo de la pantalla de MUSIXCONTROL es superior a
1200x600, lo cual es un
problema para esta máquina. La altura de 600 en realidad, no el
ancho.
El segundo botón y toda la información a la que conduce están en
portugués en la versión
castellana. (Copiar configurações de ROOT)
Aquí se puede ver (siempre en portugués) que mi placa de audio sale
reportada como HDA-Intel
HDA en el IRQ 16. Dirección: (0xfdd38000)
Tal como reporté más arriba: No hay sonido alguno.
En la sección Hardware de MUSIXCONTROL las etiquetas exceden el
espacio disponible y no
se llegan a leer completas en algunos casos.
Yendo a Wireless-Configurar tarjetas de red, salta una ventanita
imposible de ver (desaparece
en centésimas de segundo).
Me avocaré próximamente a particionar y luego instalar Musix y seguiré
reportando lo que encuentre.
Es la primera vez que trato de colaborar con testeo así que si me guían para
hacerlo en forma efectiva
