Well, as no one into Musix have firewire devices yet, we can't test them, but

they should know what to do, and you can help us to make firewire audio work 
into Musix.

Yes: that's strange, no one before had reported it. But, you are using Musix 
1.0rc1?

If so, it should work, because this problem used to appear when "nocache 
nopreload" was not pased as boot arguments (cheatcodes), but the "english" 
cheatcode has them:

LABEL english
KERNEL linux
APPEND dma ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=en keyboard=us xkeyboard=us 
apm=power-off vga=791 initrd=minirt.gz nomce quiet nocache nopreload 
BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix alsa

(this is into the isolinux.cfg file)

Ok, well, thanks for the report... the xorgmusix cheatcode looks like this:
