If you are using it from the live cd, just root

If you installed it, you allready told the system about it ;)

 | i have search the internet but found nothing on the topic, only
 | that the password is "root". but what is the username?

root :D


Also, you can use sudo

So, if you are into the live cd and you are the knoppix user, execute  
(into a terminal, for instance, konsole)

sudo -i



or 

sudo some_command

or you can use kdesu and then type root as a password
