Did you installed Musix using the Kanotix installer? or knoppix-installer in 
Debian style?

If so, it will ask you to press a key in 3 seconds to create a profile for 
this kernel at the startup: do it.

If you dont do it, things could get worse.

I advice you to install Musix using the knoppix installer and the Begginer 
Style, so it will boot like from the live-cd
