Maybe it's the style method you choosed.

You can enable it by typing into a root konsole something like this:

ln -s /bin/sndconf-musix.sh /etc/rcS.d/S97-alsa

There is an incon into the Audio desktop, that it is called "savemixer", it 
will save the alsa mixer's config if you are root....

Also you can type savemixer.sh into a root konsole. 

These settings are into: /var/lib/alsa/asound.state

When you reboot the system,  /etc/rc5.d/S99alsactl
 should load these settings

But, do you mean to save mixer's settings or to save the way that alsa load 
the modules (drivers) at the startup process?
