[Musix-users] Crackling / Popping AC97

Okay, so I figured out a few things about Musix since
my last message:

 * On login screen, select the English session and
there is much more translated. =) Also, I had to
manually set my keyboard to American, it would be
helpful if the installer asked and did this for me.

 * For some reason, the realtime kernel reboots okay
now. It didn't for a while though.

but I've still got big problems with sound. I used
Agnula fine for some time, but with Musix, my AC97
onboard sound card emits a crackling distortion on
audio that is playing. This problem has at times
disappeared, only to reappear partway through my
session. Currently, it does it all the time. Is there
something I can do about this? I don't have the
problem in SuSE or Windows on the same box.
