 Comment by Ogoldberg: looks like the autocomplete on the usernames was too
 slow for me. I realized that if I wait awhile, a suggestion shows up. If I
 select the suggestion, than it seems to work. I feel, however, that if I
 enter the username correctly, it shouldn't matter if I select the
 suggestion or not
