hi,

good morning -- i have a service announcement, a status report and a small editorial question for you today. :)

* service announcement: in preparation for the release of issue#5 we basically overwrote everything on the live site which changed since we made a clone (called "staging"). before doing that, i took care to backport any important changes which occured in the
meantime, such as new and updated pages, news items, etc. in case something was lost we have a copy to restore from. the moral of the story is that if there was something small but dear to you on the website, something that you changed in the last months (for
instance your password?) then please check if it is still there!

* status report: we have asked authors today to make a final "pre-print" review of their article, and the idea is to put the issue on the front page on Wednesday and start to advertise it on Thursday. of course we count and depend on your help in the advertising
campaign, but please don't post to lists until we have set up some way of coordinating spam!

* editorial question: the authors of one paper asked if we can display their institutional affiliations. we are not sure about this so we decided to ask the opinion of the list. please provide us some guidance!

thank you for everything, sorry for a tedious mail, have a nice day!
