Error when downloading, error when installing

It appears that inactivate-current-input-method-function was renamed
to deactivate-current-input-method-function sometime in Emacs 24 (24.2
if my assumptions are correct). Thus,
deactivate-current-input-method-function doesn't exist at all in Emacs
23.4. I *think* we officially support emacs23.4, so we may need to fix
this. Does it work if you change
deactivate-current-input-method-function to
inactivate-current-input-method-function?
