How do I paste in insert mode

Hi there,

How can I paste without leaving input mode? And by the way, how can I join
this mailing list. I've submitted several times at this site:
http://lists.ourproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/implementations-list but
noting had ever happened.
