Dear Ecoversities Friends,

Today marks a full year since that tragic humanitarian disaster which began
on the fateful 7th of October. A year filled with death, destruction, and
displacement. A year that has driven us back to living in tents, enduring
the worst of conditions. Even now, we continue to call upon the world with
our humanity, which has been crushed under the treads of tanks and the
brutal machinery of war.

I write to you today with a heavy heart, burdened with immense pain and
psychological stress, as I live far from my family while we share a common
fate of borders and refuge. My family has been forced to live on the
streets for many long months, severely impacting their mental and physical
health. During this time, we have lost family members and friends, our
home, and our education, leaving us surrounded by the walls of
displacement, exile, and mass death.

I write these words with a heavy heart, making an urgent plea after we have
exhausted all our resources due to continuous displacement and escaping
stray bullets. My younger sister suffers from hepatitis, and my other
sister is experiencing severe psychological issues that have caused her to
lose her physical balance due to loss and harsh circumstances. As for my
brother, he recently had a newborn who suffers from low birth weight, and
they are also dealing with skin diseases caused by the weather, insects,
and the inability to access cleaning supplies. Due to the rains that fell
in the past two weeks, our tent was flooded, and many of our belongings
were damaged. We are in dire need of a cover to protect the tent from water
leakage and to secure healthy and sufficient food for their survival.

We are in desperate need of your support and kind hearts, and we still need
your prayers and blessings.
