*The ATREE Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies is
happy to announce a 4-day certificate course.*

This course is designed to introduce its participants to the *urgency in
combating the crisis* of Industrialism-- an ideology of unlimited material
growth that has brought humanity to the brink of ecological and societal
collapse. And some key imaginations and *visions of a good society towards
sustainable futures for everyone*. The course showcases some examples of
communities and organisations that have built *alternative approaches* to
*living*, *being*, and *doing*, which we term as *Living Utopias*.

*Oct 5 - Oct 8, 2023* (32 contact hours)

*Where?*
ATREE, Royal Enclave, Sriramapura, Jakkur Post, Bangalore, Karnataka

*Who Can Apply?*

Anyone who is concerned about the planet and its people, and has an
interest in working towards dignified, harmonious, and sustainable futures.

*What will you achieve?*

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

   - Critically reflect upon the range, nature, and causes of the various
   crises in the world today.
   - Engage with frameworks underpinning the vision of Living Utopias and a
   Good Society.
   - Explore the ways in which justice, equity, and democracy intersect
   with sustainability.
   - Feel empowered to mobilise for action at various levels.
