The course of "Alternatives to development and territorial practices of
post development" held by Massimo De Marchi as part of the international
master's degree Sustainable Territorial Development - Climate Change

*Speakers*

Belen Paez, ecologist and biologist is an activist and president of the
Pacha Mama Foundation which works to support indigenous self-determination
in the Amazon.
She coordinates the Cuencas Sagradas initiative for bottom-up bioregional
planning promoted by the indigenous nations of Ecuador and Peru in the Napo
and Marañón river basins.

Manari Ushigua is a shaman and political leader of the Zapara Nation, an
endangered Amazonian people living between Ecuador and Peru. In 2001,
UNESCO recognized the "Oral heritage and cultural manifestations of the
Zápara people" as a world intangible heritage.



Ashish Kothari, sociologist he was lecturer at the Indian Institute of
Public Administration. Ashish is one of the founders of the Indian
environmental group Kalpavriksh. Activist in popular movements, he
coordinates the Vikalp Sangam Global Tapestry of Alternatives and the
Radical Ecological Democracy network. In 2019 he edited the volume
"Pluriverse: A Post-Development Dictionary" with Ariel Salleh, Arturo
Escobar, Federico Demaria, Alberto Acosta.



CAIANA – International Anti-Racist Collective of (Self) Care among
Activists.
Collective of women from different parts of Brazil (Bahia, Goiás, Paraná,
Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Roraima, São Paulo,
Tocantins) Ecuador, Guatemala, Italy, Mozambique. It works from different
themes related to care in a broad sense and in the political education of
women, for the exercise of citizenship in the fight for rights.

Viviane D ́Almeida – black woman, popular educator, social worker, develops
socio-educational projects with women in housing occupations in São Paulo -
Brazil

Tatipeppe_macuxi – indigenous leader, holder of traditional knowledge,
biologist and producer of natural products, works in the training of
community economy in indigenous communities, border areas and cities in
Roraima and region – Brazil.

Lucilene Kalunga – quilombola leader; Professor of History and Culture of
Brazilian Africanities at the State University of Goiás; works to combat
racism, for traditional communities, black culture and tourism in
Cavalcante/GO. Member of the Goian Women's Forum and the Malunga Black
Women's Group, advisor to the State Council for Women and civil
representative in the Special Commission for the Promotion of Racial
Equality of the Federal Institute of Goiás – IFG, she is part of the
Sustainable Quilombos Program team in the IFG Network.

Dalila Macuácua – Coordinator of ASCHA - Associação Sócio Cultural
Horizonte Azul, a youth organization with a feminist identity of equality,
which works for the human rights of young women, girls and children in
Maputo and other regions of Mozambique.

(Mamá Yama) Iza Cristina de Aguiar – Administrator of Productive and Rural
Companies of Popular, Social and Solidarity Economy. Founder of Movimiento
Afro del Azuay and 5 allied Afro Organizations. Sacred Circle of Women –
Ecuador. Shaman Afro, Priestess I.S.K.C.O.N., Integrative Holistic
Therapist, Chef Vege/Vegan/Rastafari.
