[PeDAGoG] Shandia Vision

Dear Rosalyn and all,

It’s truly a more challenging than controversial issue and, for sure,
climate finance needs to support indigenous and traditional communities
actions by reaching territories and local grassroots level properly. A
situation that shows up is about the conciliation or dialogue of the
indigenous cosmovision with the rules and laws of society, and the bureaucracy
that ends up swallowing their own forms of indigenous organization. One way
to try to overcome these questions, I think, is by creating own indigenous
funds and financial mechanisms that enable them to play a leading role in
autonomous projects management. Capacity building, investors' confidence,
learning from past experiences and so forth are some of the challenges to
be faced, but none of this prevents crucial forces from being added,
helping to protect and empower their voices against capitalist destructive
forces and address climate change.

Congratulations for the conference you are planning on this very relevant
theme!

Thanks for having the opportunity to discuss it.

Best wishes,
Renata
